“Leading in Turbulent Times,” a seminar tailored to provide leaders with the skills needed to successfully face the challenges of today,” will be held at Kansas City Kansas Community College Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Offered without charge, coffee and a continental breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m. with the seminar from 8-10 a.m. in Room 3632 in the Flint Building on the KCKCC campus at 7250 State Avenue.
Hosted by KCKCC’s Workforce Development, the seminar is designed for Human Resource and training representatives, management and supervisory staff and presented by Jane Whitmore, Manager of the Development Dimensions International of the U.S. Education Channel.
“With many businesses today facing one of the largest workforce economic shifts in decades, leadership attributes needed to be successfully steer an organization differ markedly from those in more normal times,” said Marisa Gray, Business Development Liaison for Workforce Development.
By linking current business issues and trends to skills leaders needed in today’s rapidly changing environment, Gray said participants will experience skills in such vital areas as Leading Change, Motivating Others, Communicating Effectively, Retaining Talent, Building Trust, Promoting Innovation and Rapid Decision Making.
