Kansas City Kansas Community College provides students with email accounts. A KCKCC email account is automatically created when you become a student and receive an student ID number.

New Students

Welcome to KCKCC! All new students need to first visit our WebAdvisor portal to begin setting up your email.

  • Once WebAdvisor has opened in a new tab, locate "New to WebAdvisor" and click the link.
  • Click "OK" and follow the steps located in the WebAdvisor portal.

Returning Students

Welcome Back! Need help remembering your student email? Follow the steps below to find out your KCKCC email address. Please have your Student ID ready before proceeding.

  • First initial of your first name.
  • Followed by the first four letters of your last name.
  • Followed by the last four digits of your Student ID.
  • Followed by: @students.kckcc.edu
  • Example: SJOBS1005@students.kckcc.edu

New and Returning Students

Welcome to KCKCC! All new students need to first visit our WebAdvisor portal to begin setting up your email, follow the link "New to WebAdvisor". The process for resetting your password is the same for new and returning students.

  • Once WebAdvisor has opened in a new tab, locate "Reset Password" and click the link.
  • Click "OK" and follow the steps located in the WebAdvisor portal.

* Temporary passwords are only good for 24 hours. Please change your temporary password as soon as possible.

How to Check KCKCC Email

Desktop

Login Screen

Click here to access the login screen.

  • When the login screen appears, enter your KCKCC username and the password that you setup when you created your WebAdvisor account.
  • Student email addresses will be the following format:
    • First initial of your first name
    • Followed by the first four letters of your last name
    • Then the last four digits of your Student ID
    • Add @students.kckcc.edu at the end
  • KCKCC email addresses are the official communication accounts for all staff, faculty, and students at Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Mobile Devices

iOS Devices

This guide is for setting up your KCKCC email on your Apple/iOS devices

  • Press the Menu Key.
  • Select the Settings Icon.
  • Select and press the Mail > Contacts > Calendar settings.
  • Select and press Add Account.
  • Select and press Exchange Option.
  • Type your email account: xxxxx@students.kckcc.edu.
  • Type the Server name: EMAIL.KCKCC.EDU
  • Type STUDENTS in domain.
  • Type your KCKCC Username (The same user name used to login to the KCKCC Network).
  • Type your Password (The same password used to login to the KCKCC Network). Description is optional. Press Next and select Verify.
  • *By Default the Mail is ON: select Contacts or Calendars if needed.
    Test the email account to make sure the settings are working (send an email to yourself and check to see if you received it). The Unit starts downloading email 96 minutes to and hour after configuring.

Android Devices

This guide is for setting up your KCKCC email on your Google/Android devices

  • From the Settings menu or Application menu, select Accounts, add account, or select Email (may be corporate email). This application may be named Mail on some versions of Android.
  • Type your KCKCC email address, for example xxxxx@students.kckcc.edu (what’s my email?), and your password, and then select Next.
  • Select Exchange account. (On some devices this option will be named Exchange Activesync.)
  • Enter the following account information: Enter the domain information: STUDENTS
  • Type your full email address in this box. If Domain and Username are separate text boxes in your version of Android, leave the Domain box empty and type your full email address in the Username box.
  • Password: Use the password that you use to access your account. Enter the address of the KCKCC Exchange server: EMAIL.KCKCC.EDU
  • As soon as your phone verifies the server settings, the Account Options screen displays. The options available depend on the version of Android on your device. The options may include the following:
  1. Email checking frequency The default value is Automatic (push). When you select this option, email messages will be sent to your phone as they arrive. We recommend only selecting this option if you have an unlimited data plan.
  2. Amount to synchronize This is the amount of mail you want to keep on your mobile phone. You can choose from several length options, including One day, Three days, and One week.
  3. Notify me when email arrives If you select this option, your mobile phone will notify you when you receive a new email message.
  4. Sync contacts from this account If you select this option, your contacts will be synchronized between your phone and your account.

Select Next and then type a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send e-mail to others. Select Done to complete the email setup and start using your account.

Help Desk

The Help Desk provides assistance with WebAdvisor, school e-mail, myDotte, school computer systems, and website issues. A technician is on duty when classes are in session at the Main Campus.
