Returning to Downtown Kansas City, KS
KCKCC, Swope Health and the CommunityAmerica Credit Union are partnering on the 100,000 square-foot comprehensive center that will meet the holistic needs of those living in downtown KCK by providing access to educational programs, health services, financial literacy and more.
Topping Out Ceremony
With less than one year to completion, the KCK Community Education, Health and Wellness Center reached an important milestone Aug. 8 with the raising and placement of the final beam, which was completed at a Topping Out ceremony.

KCKCC Celebrates Coming Home with Dedication of Breidenthal Court
It was a homecoming for the KCKCC’s men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams Thursday as KCKCC celebrated the dedication and ribbon cutting of Breidenthal Court, made possible through the generous support of the Breidenthal Family Foundation and its co-trustees, McKenzie and Ben Breidenthal.
KCKCC Art Gallery Presents: Nocturnes
The KCKCC Art Gallery’s newest exhibit, “Nocturnes” by Kate Clements, will be on display until Nov. 14. A reception will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in the art gallery, which is in Lower Jewell, next to the deli. The reception includes a performance by musician Josué Estrada. He is a Wichita-based trumpeter and sound architect. His music echoes the existential themes of being a modern Chicano living in the Midwest. His creativity as an independent artist opens space for collective healing.
